Cell
phones
“The use of cell
phones on campus is prohibited from 8:05 a.m. to
3:15 p.m. If a student needs to
use the phone, he/she may use the phone on an
emergency basis in the front school office. Cell
phones shall be kept in the student’s locker during
the day. If a student is found to be using or in
possession of a cell phone in the classroom, her/his
phone shall be confiscated and a fee of
$50.00
shall be collected before its return. Upon the
second offense, the phone shall not be
returned.”
Lost and Found

There
are too many items in the lost and found that remain
unclaimed.
Students, you are asked to do the following:
1) Keep your belongings inside your locker--as much as possible.
2) If an item is too big to fit in your locker or you run out of space, please neatly place it, including your backpacks, below your lockers on the floor.
3) Do not hang jackets or any other items from your locker doors.
4) Ensure your items are kept safeguarded.
5) Report any missing items to the Dean of Students.
Items not claimed will be discarded or donated.

Girls' Basketball Team
The
girls' basketball teams will play their 1st
home game TODAY, against the #5 ranked team in the
city, the Judson Lady Rockets. Game times are at
5:00 for freshman, at 6:00 for JV and Varsity plays
at 8:00 p.m. Good luck ladies!
Tryouts for football players interested in playing soccer will be held on Wednesday from 3:45 to 5:15 on the baseball field. Please see Coach Pais if you have any questions.
Baumberger Endowment Scholarship and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Scholarships are in the Counseling Office. Please go by to pick up information on these scholarships. The Baumberger Scholarship is financial need-based and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas is merit-based. Everyone is welcome to apply.
All Seniors interested in attending St. Mary's University, please sign up in the counseling office to meet with the Director of Admissions by Wednesday, November 19th.

CHEERLEADERS

Congratulations to our National Champion Cheerleading Team who competed this
weekend in two separate competitions and brought home many accolades. They received 1st place as well as the Highpoint Award at the Cheer Star Productions on Saturday, 15 November. They also received 2nd place on Sunday, 16 November at the competition held at Wagner High School. Good job ladies & GOOD LUCK on your next competition! Go Apaches!

The Apaches will host a home playoff game. The word came from TAPPS on Monday (Nov 10th) that Antonian, the District 2 third place team, will host the independent El Paso Cathedral TODAY, Friday, Nov. 14th at 7:00 p.m.

prices for this Friday's TAPPS Division I football
playoff game will be available ONLY at the gate for
$6.00 -- general admission and $4.00 -- students.
There will be no pre-sale tickets and athletic season passes will not be accepted for this game since this is a TAPPS'-sponsored event.

Girls' Basketball Team
The
girls' basketball teams opened up their
season last night against the Johnson Jaguars.
The freshman team showed up intimidated from the start and lost in a 46 to 6 rout.
The JV team played well as a unit and won their game 49 to 31. Jordan Ruiz and Maureen Zuniga led the way, but it was a total team effort.
The Varsity team won their first season opener in 5 years by beating the Jaguars 49 to 30. Kathryn "Big O" Galindo led the way with 18 points. Liz Boyd had 9 points while Rachel Amberlang and Allison "The Machine" Michel each had 8 points.
Congratulations ladies on starting the season off on a positive note.
We are all proud of you. Go Apaches!!!

Apaches! Here is an update from your girls' soccer
team: JV and Varsity had an eye opening
experience this weekend in Houston against St.
Agnes. JV started off with a 5 to 0 loss and the
Varsity team finished it off with a 9 to 0 loss.
However, the next morning your Varsity girls got a
little pay back with a 6 to 1 victory over Duschene
and JV had a miraculous come back from behind with a
score of 2 to 0 to end up winning the game with a 3
to 3.
Your varsity is now 2 to 1 and JV is 1 - 1 - 1 on the season.
Next game is this Friday, 14 November at St. Mary's Hall
