BLUE RIBBON GALA

October 27, 2001

The 2nd Annual Blue Ribbon Gala was held tonight at Oak Hills Country Club.  The Gala was hosted at Oak Hills by Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Ruiz, who served as Gala Chairpersons. We are thankful to them and the officers of the PTC who organized the event and brought it to fruition.  Additionally, Mr. Steve Hernandez was inducted and was the recipient of the first Hall Of Honor Award given by Antonian College Preparatory High School.  He was recognized for over thirty-three years of service to the school.  The school Motto, "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve", is a fitting motto for this gentleman also.  He came to Antonian young in heart, spirit and years.  He leaves Antonian still young at heart and spirit, and a bit wiser with age.  We are indebted to him for his dedication to many generations of young people who came through Antonian.  His impact on them, as a person always ready to help, has left an distinguishable mark on our students.  Thank you Steve for being such a man of character, service and faith.  They don't make them like you any longer.
